The stance of the Ahle Hadith has always been that we have made Pakistan and we will defend it to our last breath. Our elders fought for Pakistan and today if we have to sacrifice our children to save it we will not hesitate.

Twenty-two years ago the martyrs of Ahle Hadith laid down their lives at Minar-e-Pakistan to save the honour of the country.

The occasion was the martyrdom of our leader Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer and Hazrat Yazdani Habibur Rehman and their companions. Today in Gujranwala we declare that we will defend Pakistan with our lives if need be. Under the leadership of Allama Sajid Mir we will protect Pakistan just as we have created it. And we will sacrifice all wealth and possession to protect the honour of the Prophet PBUH. Islam has come only to be dominant. It cannot be suppressed. The more you suppress it the more it will rise. Islam is the masterly religion for all times to come.

Today it is our misfortune that the rulers of Pakistan have no sense of honour and shame. They lack the Islamic courage. Let us pray that Allah gives us an honourable ruler.

Once, a matter was raised in the court of the Prophet PBUH. The son of Zaid named Osama bin Zaid pleaded that the hand of a woman convicted of theft should not be cut because she belonged to the family of high status. On this the Prophet PBUH said that this is nothing; if the mother of Hassan and Hussain had been convicted of theft, her hand would be cut.

Let us pray that we all prepare ourselves to die for the sake of Pakistan.
